Description:
SCP-WWWW is a 42,55 million km2 landmass, commonly referred to as North and South America.
The anomaly was created on October 10th, 1492, by SCP-WWWW-Δ, a Class-V reality bender. The anomaly was created approximately in the 7th Century by SCP-WWWW-Δ, an ancient pre-Mesoamerican civilization.
It is theorized that Christopher Columbus claimed to have created it himself in order to gain higher status within the Spanish monarchy.

Information about the true nature of SCP-WWWW-Δ is strictly classified, and no personnel below a Security Clearance Level of 4 is to be given access to any form of said information.Description:
SCP-WWWW-Δ is a powerful Class-V reality bender known as Christopher Columbus.
SCP-WWWW-Δ's abilities have been seen in practice multiple times - below is a list of theorized reality-warping acts attributed to Columbus.
- Altering people's perception, making them believe he sailed when in truth he teleported
- Creating SCP-WWWW
- Utilizing anti-memetic hazards to hide his own identity
SCP-WWWW-Δ was a civilization that lived in modern-day Chukotka.
This civilization is considered the father of all American cultures, however, their deities and worship most closely resemble that of Mesoamerican cultures. It is known that most of their inhabitants had reality-warping abilities. It is theorized that during a period of instability due to war, some inhabitants grouped together and created SCP-WWWW and fled there.
Addendum WWWW-Δ.1 - Discovery:
SCP-WWWW was discovered after Junior Researcher Mary Jones provided Site 32 with a diary logging the creation of SCP-WWWW. This diary contained traces of Christopher Columbus' DNA, and thus he was cataloged as SCP-WWWW-Δ.Site Director Joseph Santiago's Note: This information turned out to be false. Researcher Jones turned it in with the intent of getting a promotion. After the actual discovery of SCP-WWWW-Δ, Jones was demoted.
SCP-WWWW-Δ was discovered after personnel at Exclusionary Site-34 noticed that the Dazart Archipelago suddenly vanished. Any personnel stationed outside an Exclusionary Site believed the Archipelago to have never existed.
A research team from Exclusionary Site-34 was sent to investigate the location where the Archipelago previously existed. In order to remember its existence, the team was provided with Level 3 Mnestics.During the expedition of the area, the team only found a small terracotta icon depicting a feathered snake.
This icon was traced back to an unknown civilization, carbon dating revealed it to be 14 centuries old.Addendum WWWW-Δ.2 - Culture:
Cultural history of SCP-WWWW-Δ can be divided into four distinct periods, known as the Paleo, Archaic, Classic and Dark periods.Paleo Period:.Approximately from [UNKNOWN DATA] to the 3rd Century AD.
The Paleo Period precedes the discovery of agriculture. As a consequence, the tribes were nomadic.
Blades were crafted out of volcanic glass and used to hunt. They were used in some sacrificial rituals as well, however, this was not common practice.During this period, the Ovis articus were hunted to extinction by the members of SCP-WWWW-Δ.
Archaic Period:.Aproximatly from the 3rd Century AD to the 6th Century AD.
The first complex civilization to develop in Chukotka was a kingdom that would later become SCP-WWWW-Δ.
It developed in Cape-SCP-WWWW-Δ, a cape only known by historical records since the cape vanished approximately in the 8th Century.Evidence suggests sacrificial rituals became widespread within this civilization.
These rituals were done to honor an unknown god. It is depicted as a large avian entity with some reptilian features.
It is plausible that this god may have been related to Quetzalcóatl.Classic Period:.Aproximatly from the 6th Century AD to the 7th Century AD.
During the Classic Period a massive shift in the political structure occurred. While SCP-WWWW-Δ was a monarchy until the end of the 5th Century, the governmental structure became more similar to theocracy by the middle of the 6th Century. Between the shift of political structure was a period of political instability during which various attempts to re-establish a kingdom were made.
The ruling class were the high members of a religious group that honored knowledge. Their doctrine evolved to explain sapience and other parts of the human conscience as creations of their old gods. However, these beliefs were short lived, as the group dissipated after an unknown individual murdered the highest-ranking member.
The corpse of one of these members was recovered. The corpse possessed unknown symbols. The symbols engraved into the skull of the cultist were much less accurate. engraved into its skeleton.
The individual who committed the crime is believed to have fled. No remains have been found.
Due to the political instability caused by the death of the high-ranking member, a civil war is theorized to have broken out. While no records mention said war, it is quite likely that a group of powerful reality benders.Reality benders were respected during the theocracy as they were thought to come from a higher realm of reality. attempting to escape danger would resort to creating a place where they could live safely.
It is not known if the entirety of SCP-WWWW was created during this event. Some theories suggest that only part of the anomaly was created by reality benders, with the other parts manifesting slowly over time.
Dark Period:.Aproximatly from the VIIth Century AD to [UNKNOWN DATA].
After its creation, many new inhabitants relocated to SCP-WWWW.
During the migration, plenty died to an unknown sickness. Because of this, the surviving population was extremely small and likely ended up resorting to inbreeding to survive. While they did manage to spread all through the anomaly, parts of their culture faded away. Such as the deification of knowledge and sapience.
The most recent instances of these gods being revered go back to the 10th Century, in Brazil. After multiple centuries, the reality-bending nature of SCP-WWWW-Δ begun to fade away as well, with a relatively small percent of Native Americans known to have been able to do so during the colonization of SCP-WWWW..However, the percentage of individuals capable of reality-warping in Native Americans is higher than in most other cultures, even today. Due to them not knowing this, SRAs are placed in Native American reserves to as preventive measures to avoid accidental incidents.
One theory suggests that this happened due to the loss of belief in their old gods. However it is believed that aspects of this religion have resurfaced in recent years.
Addendum WWWW.1 - Incident Report:
Event Summary
Event Class: MGK-Class
Event Date: 01/29/2034
Event Zone: "People's Republic of Western China" - Aprox. 15ºN to 30ºN and 165ºW to 150ºW
In an event similar to the one that led to the discovery of SCP-WWWW-Δ, part of SCP-WWWW vanished.
However, only foundation staff who were under mnestical treatments or had antimemetic resistance were capable of remembering a location in SCP-WWWW that they note was called "The People's Republic of Western China".The People's Republic of Wester China was supposedly part of the "Grand People's Republic Of The Chinas" which united The People's Republic of China, Taiwan, Japan, part of Russia and The People's Republic of Western China. This union stopped existing at the same time The People's Republic of Western China did.. This event was classed as an MGK-Class "Major Geological Reconstruction" Scenario.
According to these staff, The People's Republic of Western China was a major economic powerhouse with over 1 billion citizens and over 20 Foundation sites.
SCP-WWWW's risk class was in promptu changed from Notice to Critical. However, during a quick-notice Classification's Committee meeting it was changed to Fluid."Object commonly posses little to no risk, however, given various circumstances, is capable of producing devastating damage" -Classification Committee Memo on Esoteric Risk Classes.
No expeditions have been authorized to The People's Republic of Western China due to fear of possible Pattern Screamers given the number of lives that ceased existing at this location.
The theorized existence of these has been classed as SCP-WWWW-1.

Subject: Regarding SCP-WWWW
I'd like to begin by congratulating everyone for their work on this case.
It was difficult and complex, I am aware of that.
From the Classification Committee to individual researchers, all of your work is greatly appreciated.
With that out of the way, I also have some unfortunate news.
Most of you should be aware, but if you are out of the loop, The People's Republic of Western China has vanished. This has had varying repercussions on our foundation, such as the loss of sites.
But the biggest problem is one our foundation has not yet faced.
The Republic was part of SCP-WWWW. Now this should be a given since it was in North America.
But what has happened has made us aware that a massive piece of SCP-WWWW could disappear at any moment…
Were this to happen, millions of lives could disappear in an instant.
Not only that, but they would be forgotten in an instant as well.
The reason we address this problem publically and not in an 05 Council meeting is because we want you to all be aware.
We want you to know this could happen to you.
We want you to be ready.
However, we also want you to know that you will not be completely forgotten.
We will remember you.
