Though the tendrils of grief and decay may strip them bare, until blood colors the soil dark and bones become dust in the ground, eyes see naught but the infestations on putrid flesh, the shadow of entombment envelops where skin once rested,

Then, they will finally know what it feels like to be remembered forever.


As the wails of the dearly departed permeate the ground, a solitary red spider lily blooms.

Laura, I know we didn't part on the best of terms, but I wish I could talk to you again, even when I'm no longer here by your side.

May these poor souls never be lonely again.
