Anomaly №: SCP-XXXX
Anomaly Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: An outpost has been established beside the head of SCP-XXXX, under the guise of a converted farmhouse. Twenty members of the Memetics Division are currently stationed at the outpost and provided with Class W mnestics, which are replenished bi-monthly. Collected samples from the body of SCP-XXXX are to be submitted to the Parazoology Division at the earliest convenience.
SCP-XXXXX. Note the slight distortion around its body.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the cadaver of a massive organism, vaguely resembling a Deinopis subrufa (rufous net-casting spider), currently located in an empty field in south central Wyoming. SCP-XXXX possesses a natural antimemetic camouflage, making it completely undetectable without the usage of advanced mnestics. SCP-XXXX possesses no hair nor an exoskeleton, instead being structured very similarly to Homo sapiens sapiens (humans).
Unlike Deinopis subrufa and other arachnids, it possesses ten legs, which are located on the underside of its body, as well as ten eyes, five on each side of its head. Its body is 100 meters long from the end of its abdomen to the tip of its chelicerae, and its legs are 300 meters long. The body of SCP-XXXX rests on its side, with its legs splayed limply.
It does not appear to decay; instead its remains are gradually congealing into an organic slurry. Extended testing on this slurry has led researchers to believe it is at least two hundred years old, and it expired sometime in late 2015. Attempts at securing samples from its cranial carapace have failed due to previously undetected hazardous material.
Discovery Log: SCP-XXXX was discovered
Addendum: Upon its initial discovery, a sheet of paper and a cassette were found attached to the underside of its chest with duct tape. Written on the sheet of paper was a single sentence, transcribed below:
The cassette tape contained a recording of the 1977 song Heroes, by David Bowie.
