Description: SCP-XXXX is a female humanoid. SCP-XXXX wears a primarily orange and green kimono speckled with intricate patterns, and a straw hat which overshadows the upper portion of its face. SCP-XXXX often manifests with a bottle of sake in its left hand. For unknown reasons, SCP-XXXX was only seen to frequent the hallway in Site-[DATA EXPUNGED]¹'s Class-E confinement wing.

SCP-XXXX follows a specific behavioral pattern:

• SCP-XXXX attempts to converse with the subject.
• SCP-XXXX introduces sake to the subject, often encouraging them to ingest it.²
• SCP-XXXX attempts to engage in light patting. Should subject display open reluctance to continue further, SCP-XXXX leaves.
• Should subject not display open resistance, SCP-XXXX engages in sexual intercourse³ with male subjects.
• SCP-XXXX demanifests.

Female subjects showed signs of uneasiness after their encounter with SCP-XXXX, while most male subjects do not recall their encounter with SCP-XXXX. Attempts to capture SCP-XXXX have failed. SCP-XXXX repeats this pattern for each encounter.

D-20013 glances at the sheets of paper laid out in front of Dr. Mikayano, and rolls his eyes.

After seven seconds of D-20013 seemingly in deep thought, he chuckles nervously.

D-20013: I- no. No. That- that can't be right. I-

Dr. Mikayano leans forward, with his hands clasped together.

Dr. Mikayano: Let us help you, D-20013.

D-20013: I- I didn't mean to-

Dr. Mikayano: Then concentrate.

D-20013 closes his eyes, and frowns.

D-20013: …she, she was speaking Japanese, I- I think. I don't… think I knew what she was saying.

D-20013 repeatedly taps his right thigh with his index finger.

D-20013: She gave… some weird smile? More like, a grin.

Dr. Mikayano: Did you see its face?

D-20013: I- no. A straw hat was covering her face, I think. She's a total fucking stranger. But…

D-20013's eyes dart from left to right.

D-20013: She felt… familiar at the same time? Like a long-lost loved one, or, something. Fuck, I- how is this possible?!

Dr. Mikayano: D-20013, what did it say?

D-20013: I've told you that she spoke some Jap, doc. Does it look like-

Dr. Mikayano: Any specific keywords you could pick out? A repeated word? Phrase?

D-20013: There was one word that I- I could make out.

Dr. Mikayano: And that is?

D-20013: "Kazoku."⁵

I have always devoted myself to a saying: "The Foundation does not believe in the supernatural, but rather, explores the scientific machinations behind the unknown."

This time, I believe, may be an exception.

"Obon" in the Edo Period.

Video footage shows that the first sighting of SCP-XXXX was on the 15th of August, 2008. This day fell on the "Obon Festival", or internationally recognized as the Japanese version of the annual Ghost Festival. The "Obon Festival" involved families visiting and cleaning their ancestors' graves as a sign of respect. Sensing something amiss, I have authorized a search of the land around Site-[DATA EXPUNGED].

After three hours, the dig team discovered an unnamed tombstone situated 78m away from Site-[DATA EXPUNGED]. This tombstone was located 260m away from the Mount Futatabi cemetery, the nearest graveyard from Site-[DATA EXPUNGED]. Unlike those tombstones, this one had seen significant damage. It was crumbling, with moss enveloping nearly a third of what remained. It suffered such extensive damage that our team could not decipher the text on the tombstone.

Referring to D-20013, he mentioned a word that was repeatedly spoken by SCP-XXXX. "Kazoku", or "family", in Japanese. My theory is that SCP-XXXX was neglected and forgotten to the extent that its resting place had been segregated from the rest. Perhaps, SCP-XXXX required company, after years of loneliness and isolation. Its behavior with male subjects could be to breed new offspring and therefore continue its bloodline.

For now, SCP-XXXX has not returned. We are unsure of its true motives. Admittedly, this may be dismissed as a mere figment of superstition and not facts, but no obvious clues are lying about that tell us otherwise.

We will continue our research into SCP-XXXX.

00.00: SCP-XXXX emerges from the camera frame. Unlike its first intrusion, SCP-XXXX moves at a significantly slower speed, constantly clutching its lower body, possibly the stomach.

00.14: SCP-XXXX briskly walks towards D-20013's cell. Shadows conceal the entirety of its lower body.

00.37: SCP-XXXX peers into the cell, and hesitates for a period of time, glancing at its lower body and towards the interior of the cell. After 23 seconds of hesitation, SCP-XXXX phases through the confinement cell entryway.

00.52: D-20013 is seen to be sleeping. SCP-XXXX tip-toes over to him and gently rouses him from his sleep.

01.04: D-20013 wakes up. After noticing SCP-XXXX, D-20013 immediately backs up against the wall, visibly shocked. SCP-XXXX holds out its right hand towards D-20013, and points towards its lower body.

01.29: D-20013 warily approaches SCP-XXXX. After a few seconds, D-20013's eyes widen, and begin to tear up.

01.35: SCP-XXXX attempts to hug D-20013. D-20013 backs away, and scrambles to his cell entryway. D-20013 pounds his fists against the entryway, screaming incoherently. The confinement cell's alarm system is activated. Alarm lights flicker a red hue. SCP-XXXX demanifests after the flicker.

01.57: Guards arrive.

After opening the cell entryway, D-20013 rushes up to one of the guards, screaming and pointing towards the interior of his cell. The guard restrains D-20013, while the other guard enters the confinement cell. After three minutes of thorough inspection, the guards find no evidence of intrusion. D-20013 was detained for questioning.

D-20013 stares down at the table, with his fingers lightly scratching against the table.

Dr. Mikayano: Greetings, D-20013. How are you feeling?

D-20013 looks up towards Dr. Mikayano. D-20013's eyes are bloodshot.

D-20013: Doc, I- I can't. I need a transfer.

Dr. Mikayano: We can't do that unless you tell us what happened first.

D-20013: It- it's that lady. Fuck. I- I don't want to- don't want to-

Using a pencil, Dr. Mikayano taps it against the table. D-20013 ceases.

Dr. Mikayano: Stay with me here, D-20013.

D-20013 stabilizes his breathing, but is unresponsive.

Dr. Mikayano: Okay then. Let's start from the… beginning.

D-20013 grits his teeth.

D-20013: She woke me up. I thought it was a guard, here to rough me up after I fucked up or something.

D-20013 covers his eyes with his hand.

D-20013: God. Her stomach. It was… bulging out. Those faces. She was fucking smiling. Like it was normal.

Dr. Mikayano: Faces? How did they look like?

D-20013: …babies? Like, fuck, four of them swimming around in there. I could see one of them crying, one pressing their hands against her stomach. I-

D-20013 removes his hand and rubs his temples.

D-20013: Her- something was… dripping from her… god, fuck no. Go see it for yourself. C- can I please be transferred?

Dr. Mikayano: You'll have to wait.

Dr. Mikayano entered D-20013's confinement cell, accompanied by two members of the Scientific Department and a guard. A chalky-white substance was discovered on the floor near D-20013's bed. Subsequent examination reveals that this substance was a mixture of semen, belonging to 85% of all male D-Class personnel detained in the Class-E confinement wing. During inspection of the cell, the guard testified him seeing SCP-XXXX, peeking out from the corner at the far end of the hallway, appearing to express a smile while caressing its stomach. SCP-XXXX demanifested before the guard could confront it. The same chalky-white substance was present at SCP-XXXX's location.

Addendum XXXX.Ω023: Incident-Ω9

Since 15/08/2008, Site-[DATA EXPUNGED] personnel were tasked with a routine inspection of the premises to deter SCP-XXXX from trespassing, and Dr. Mikayano was assigned as the chief supervisor of the process. However, on 05/09/2009⁶, there were no updates sent to the Overwatch Command. Communications with SIte-[DATA EXPUNGED] were cut. As such, two hours later, MTF Omega-2 ("Moningukoru"⁷) was deployed to Site-[DATA EXPUNGED].

Omega-2 arrives at the main gateway to the land surrounding Site-[DATA EXPUNGED].

Bravo: Huh. Lights are still on.

Alpha: Central, possible infiltrator within Site.

Central: You are go, Omega-2. Advance.

Alpha makes a 'gun' hand sign and points it towards the Site. Bravo, Charlie, and Delta advance, weapons at the ready in single file. Alpha is the last to follow, frequently glancing back to provide cover fire if necessary.

Charlie: No guards.

After two minutes of crouching, Omega-2 takes position at both sides of the entrance to Site-[DATA EXPUNGED]. Alpha takes point, and slowly turns the doorknob. The door audibly creaks.

Delta: Where is everyone?

The hallways and most workplaces are brightly lit with fluorescent lights. Bravo notices a half-eaten sandwich on a porcelain plate, situated in a workplace, presumably belonging to on-site staff. Bravo approaches the sandwich, and takes off his gloves. Bravo proceeds to touch the sandwich.

Bravo: It's still warm.

Omega-2 immediately crouches.

Alpha: Safeties off.

Central: Omega-2, proceed to Dr. Mikayano's office.

Alpha: Copy that.

Still in crouching position, Omega-2 advances towards Dr. Mikayano's office. The door to the office is wide open with no signs of forced entry.

Alpha: Central, there's nothing of interest here.

Charlie: Hm. Doesn't seem like there was any sign of struggle.

Central: (off-mic) [UNINTELLIGIBLE]ell? [UNINTELLIGIBLE]03? Alright.

Central: Team, head towards the Class-E confinement wing.

Alpha: Roger.

Delta: Shit, this is bugging the hell out of me.

Bravo suddenly stops, seemingly startled.

Bravo: What the fuck? Did you hear that?

Seven seconds of silence.

Charlie: No…?

Bravo: …sorry? What?

Charlie: What?

Bravo: Ah fuck it. I- I think I'm hearing things.

Omega-2 continues for three more minutes, before Delta begins to dig his ears.

Delta: Shit, can someone-

Delta continues to dig his ears. Moments after, Delta flinches in pain. His left ear begins to bleed.

Delta: Ah! Shit… can't get that voice out of my head.

Alpha: Specify. Whose voice?

Delta: I- I don't know whose. It's some lady. Giggling. …I. What? Thank you? Wh-

Charlie: Central, advise?

Central: Continue, Omega-2.

Charlie: Delta, you alright?

Delta: Yeah, I'm fine. She's gone now.

After four minutes, Omega-2 arrives at the Class-E confinement wing.

Alpha: Bravo, Delta, check if the objects are still here. Charlie, you're with me.

Charlie: Roger.

Alpha and Charlie enter each confinement cell. Alpha's walkie-talkie squawks.

Bravo: Alpha, all objects accounted for.

Delta: Same here, Alpha.

Alpha: …roger that.

Charlie: So only our guys disappeared? What the hell's going on?

Alpha remains silent.

Two more cells are left unsearched. However, a photograph could be seen situated at the middle of the hallway.

Charlie: What the?

Alpha picks up the photograph.

Incident-Ω9 has been a huge setback to the Foundation's research into the rapidly increasing number of anomalies within Japan, in terms of manpower, and morale.

Why?

This photograph:

Was a 'thank you' for a sacrifice that we never would have given.

Without knowing where they are, it would be near-impossible to exfiltrate them out. However, I believe that bereaving the loss of colleagues and/or close friends will bring down the efficiency of the SCP Foundation.

To ensure the longevity of such valued personnel, Site-[DATA EXPUNGED] will be decommissioned and demolished, effective immediately. All records of Site-[DATA EXPUNGED]'s history will be destroyed.
