DESCRIPTION: SCP-XXXX collectively refers to sixteen (16) instances of anomalous television episodes (SCP-XXXX-01 through SCP-XXXX-16.) of which no other episodes are believed to exist. Each SCP-XXXX instance is exactly twenty-two (22) minutes long, including end credits. The contents of each instance vary, with seemingly no connection.

Individuals who watch SCP-XXXX instances will become convinced the contents of it are completely factual, even in spite of prior innoculation. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Aggression towards people who attempt to disprove it,
• Acts of violence towards people who attempt to disprove it,

In an unnamed country, Kairas Amon — a member of its National Rapid Safety Bureau [NRSB] and a liaison with the extra-governmental organization SCP Foundation — inadvertently kills an undercover UNGOC operative during a tactical sting. Fearing retribution, the Foundation temporarily sends him to the privately-owned Aunemgara Island in a security capacity. The island is home to a very large lake as well as the Regis facility, both part of a decommissioned operation undertaken by the Foundation; it is staffed by a skeleton crew of 170 and seen as a "containment zone" for useful but troublesome staff. The Regis facility's active operations occur in its recently mostly-renovated North and East wings, while its disused South wing and completely-demolished West wing remain decrepit.

Upon his arrival, he is informed that security personnel he is replacing was his former commanding officer and ex-lover Clarissa d'Feschet, who disappeared some time after recreationally diving in the lake. He is also advised by facilities manager Wolchemeyer to only perform his duties and not look into her disappearance, as it is being handled 'administratively'. Kairas ignores this and contacts one of his NRSB colleagues, Densin, to look into it for him. He later encounters a shadowy phantom resembling Clarissa in a tunnel, which in turn leads him to find a haggard young girl, Fyelia.

Kairas learns more about the island from Densin, who has arrived at the facility in-person. A popular myth is about a local god who caused all the original inhabitants of the island to turn on each other as it learned about the sins of man. Some elements of the myth line up with details of Clarissa's disappearance told to him by the facility's doctor, genetic virologist Kazue Sawaguchi, to whom he has brought Fyelia for treatment in the North wing. He is also able to search Clarissa's quarters and finds that she attempted to go to the South Wing of the facility. He also notes that she had potentially discovered something in the lake.

People in the facility seemingly start to disappear, but the facility's automated system personnel tally states otherwise. This is corroborated by files he finds that implies that the workforce of the original operation all mysteriously vanished as well. Fyelia recovers but starts acting extremely erratically, even making sexual passes at Kairas which deeply unnerves him. Additionally, personnel around her start getting sick, forcing Sawaguchi to quarantine her. Kairas later discovers a logical fault in the automated system personnel tally that reveals that in actuality, nearly thirty to forty of the site's personnel are missing.

Wolchemeyer initiates a facility lockdown, but makes clear he intends to deal with it on his own. Ignoring Wolchemeyer, Kairas notifies Densin about the issue, who in turn attempts to contact the Foundation. Densin says that he cannot find any further information about the previous facility and suggests the files may have been intentionally destroyed. The missing personnel are soon accounted for, but are acting similar to Fyelia. Although no personnel are meant to carry weapons, Kairas starts to carry a Chinese Schnellfeuer M712 copy he smuggled in his luggage. Sawaguchi does the same with a R-92 revolver that Densin gives her.

Sawaguchi discovers single-source gene editing in the erratic personnel, likening it to an intelligent virus that attempts to copy the host's DNA to ensure assimilation. Kairas theorizes that if it is intelligent, the erraticness may be caused by it experimenting on the 'infected' personnel and that the unpredictable transmission method is it "jumping" to a new test subject. Sawaguchi agrees and does not think it is a virus, but merely acts like one. In the upcoming days, the erratic personnel become violent, casting shadowy phantoms with some even mutating physically. They start attacking the others and killing some.

As the survivors hole themselves up in the East Wing of the facility, Kairas suggests retrieving Fyelia. He convinces the others that if Sawaguchi can study her, they may be able to figure a cure for the 'virus'. As the survivors' makeshift weapons do little but temporarily repel the humanoids, they agree. He goes to free Fyelia from her quarantine; she is unharmed and markedly more docile than before, and also appears to have grown a pair of moth-like wings. Wolchemeyer is killed trying to prevent Kairas and Fyelia from returning to the East Wing. Sawaguchi tries to study Fyelia but is astonished by her completely normal DNA results.

At a loss of what to do, Kairas and Sawaguchi attempt to find the artefact that Clarissa discovered, theorizing it may be the original vector of the infection. Fyelia also decides to join them. They take one of the security Jeeps and head to the South Wing. While there, they hear the ghastly, disembodied voices of what sounds like many humans. They follow the sounds of the voices to a flooded basement area of the South Wing, apparently connected to both the West wing and a tunnel system under the lake. In a side room, they find Clarissa's corpse and the artefact: a stone-carven idol with thorns surrounding it, covered in her blood. A written letter is by her body, apologizing to Kairas for the bother and for luring him there.

Through found documents, the background story can be pieced together: the Foundation's original mining operation started out mundane before discovering evidence of the original inhabitants of the island, including the artefact. After similar attacks and behaviour occurred to the personnel, they attempted to study the resulting 'outbreak'. Subsequently, the deity learned about viruses. As the "sense infection" grew out of hand, the Foundation decided to kill everyone, submerge the mine, and isolate the island to seal the bridge in hopes of keeping it contained. Clarissa unintentionally re-opened the seal after finding the artefact in the lake.

They destroy the artefact of the deity but are still unable to dispel the now-weakened assimilated personnel. Remembering Sawaguchi's explanation of the process, Kairas now realizes that Fyelia is the "human" half of Clarissa, having been separated from the half assimilated by the deity virus and making her the unwitting 'Patient Zero' (and explaining her behavior). Fyelia suggests that it was Clarissa's strong connection to Kairas that kept her grounded, and thanks him as she forces him to kill her. As the connections weaken, the South Wing begins to crumble. Kairas and Sawaguchi make their escape.

As the two arrive back at the main facility, they are surprised to find it completely abandoned. Densin contacts them on the radio asking where they are — the Foundation crews have arrived on the island, but Kairas and Sawaguchi cannot be found. They both realize that they have been 'infected' the whole time and thus are still in the alter side; Sawaguchi repeatedly asks Kairas what they should do as he sits down, angrily shoots the radio, and responds that he doesn't know. Over the radio static, Densin is heard saying he sees the two approaching him in the distance before yelling and cutting out.

Sideboxes are built-in components that come in two types:

1. authorbox
2. sidebox

Usage instructions vary depending on the type.

• The authorbox does not display on screens below width=1200px, which includes mobile screens. It can be set up to display page and author information.
• The sidebox collapses into the page edge on screens below width=1200px. On those screens, it can be accessed by tapping your finger or hovering your cursor over it. It can be set up to display additional narrative information.

Please consider these conditions before setting up these items — a large percentage of SCP Wiki users browse via mobile devices.

1. Authorbox

By default, the authorbox is opt-out. It comes preloaded on all pages that include Flopstyle: LITE. If you wish to remove it, please replace this:

By default, the authorbox makes use of ListPages to automate the metadata displayed. You could theoretically copy the ListPages portion of the authorbox onto any Wiki page, and these fields would populate in a way unique to that page. You may, of course, change any of these fields as desired.

You may also edit your custom authorbox to display flavor text tailored to your page, such as a note to readers.

See the left side of the page for an authorbox example.

flavorbox is the only div you should use inside an authorbox.

Alternative 2: If you want, you can move the authorbox to the right-hand side of the page. To do so, copy this syntax and paste it inside a CSS module at the top of your page:

If you have a page that does this, I recommend against inserting any sideboxes in that same page, or it will prove rather messy.

If you are planning on inserting any sidecontainers onto your page, I strongly recommend using the default authorbox. The reason being, when a right-hand authorbox and sidecontainer are used in tandem, they will overlap and become visually messy. This has the potential to be very confusing for readers. So, it's better staying on the safe side.

2. Sidebox

The sidebox is opt-in. It is set up like this:
